Oded Adomi Leshem wrote an article entitled “What You Wish for Is Not What You Expect: Measuring Hope for Peace during Intractable Conflicts” in the International Journal of Intercultural Relations, September 1, 2017.

Carlos E. Sluzki wrote a piece entiled "The Impact of Authoritarian Regimes on Families … and on Therapists" in Australian & New Zealand Journal of Family Therapy, September 1, 2017.

Michael Loadenthal, PhD '15,  published a couple of articles. Phil Gamaghelyan, PhD '17, held a book launch for his new book entitled “Conflict Resolution Beyond the Realist Paradigm”, published by Columbia University Press. September, 2017. Susan Allen, Kevin Avruch, Dean, and Susan Hirsch all spoke at the book launch.

Karina Korostelina was invited by OSCE to Kiev on September 16- 18, 2017. She conducted 2 presentations for the office of OSCE in Kiev, presented for the Council of Foreign Aid in Kiev, and had led a workshop on dialogue across military line for OSCE monitors.

Patricia Maulden, organized two events under the Dialogue and Difference Series, entilted "Hate: Charlottesville" and "Justice: Incarceration", on September 12, 2017, and September 28, 2017 respectively.

Her Excellency Marie-Louise Coleiro Preca, President of Malta, presented at the 28th Annual Lynch Lecture series on the theme Peace Beyond Patriarchy, on Septrember 22, 2017. Susan Hirsch, Michelle Marks, Vice President for Academic Innovation & New Ventures at Mason, Rich Rubenstein, and Kevin Avruch, Dean, all spoke at the event.

The annual Welcome Picnic was held at Point of View on September 10, 2017.
