Biography
Monique C. Norton is the Graduate Admissions Coordinator at the Jimmy and Rosalynn Carter School for Peace and Conflict Resolution. As an avid life-long learner, Monique holds a Master’s degree in Cultural Anthropology and a Master’s degree in Human Behavior. She is also a doctoral candidate with research interests in Human and Social Services.
Prior to joining the Carter School, Monique worked in academic advising and recruitment assisting students from various backgrounds, including military service members, in realizing their educational goals. She is passionate about helping potential students to navigate their journey with George Mason University from recruitment through graduation.
Monique is of West Indian descent but hales from Orlando, Florida. She is a wife and mother and enjoys spending time with her family. As a prior military spouse, Monique has had the opportunity to interact with people of various cultural backgrounds. Intrinsically, she believes that there is beauty and value in every culture, and working together reflects our humanity.
