The Carter School for Peace and Conflict Resolution at George Mason University is proud to recognize high school students from across the nation for the Conflict Resolution Youth Impact Award. This prestigious award recognizes outstanding high school students who demonstrate care for the complex issues we face and are willing to take action to address community problems.
Scholarship Prize
The winner of the Conflict Resolution Youth Impact Award will be recognized with a full-tuition scholarship to attend the prestigious Conflict Resolution Youth Summit at George Mason University. This summit provides a unique opportunity for young leaders to develop their skills, network with peers and experts, and further their commitment to peace and conflict resolution.

Invitation to High School Teachers and Administrators
Do you know a current freshman, sophomore, or junior who excels in Social Studies, cares about problems around them, and is on a path to make a positive community impact? We invite you to nominate them for the Conflict Resolution Youth Impact Award. The winners of this award will be recognized by George Mason University’s Carter School for Peace & Conflict Resolution. The winner will receive a scholarship covering full tuition to attend the Conflict Resolution Youth Summit (CRYS) in July at George Mason University ($750 value that also covers food and lodging)
To nominate students for this award, please provide the student’s name, grade level, and email address on the linked form by March 15th. To confirm application, nominees will be notified by email and asked to submit a brief statement (50 words or less) summarizing a problem they care about and why it is important.
